Japanese private space company Space One's rocket crashes after takeoff, a major blow to private enterprise
Tokyo, March 14, 2024, Thursday
The Kairos rocket of the Japanese venture company Space One suffered an accident just a few days after it took off. There was a huge explosion in the rocket launched at 11 am on Wednesday in Kushimotonagar located in Wayakama Prefecture. Along with this, the Japanese space company stopped the entire campaign. According to the information received, a problem occurred in the fuel system of the rocket carrying a small satellite.
According to the local emergency service, there were no casualties from the rocket explosion. After 50 minutes of the rocket's flight, at an altitude of 500 km, the small satellite was supposed to be placed in the orbit of the earth, which met with a crushing failure. The satellite was developed by the Cabinet Satellite Intelligence Centre. Had this vision succeeded, Space One would have been the first Japanese private company to achieve this feat.
