China, not China, India should take action against responsible soldiers: Chinese ambassador

- China blames India for gallant violence

Beijing, Ta. 14 August 2020, Friday

There have been several rounds of talks between India and China in the Galvan Valley on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) after violent clashes between the two countries' troops two months ago. But this relationship is not normal. China, meanwhile, has called for a probe into the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers killed in violent clashes on June 15.

On behalf of China, the July issue of the China-India Review, a monthly published by the Chinese Embassy in India, said that on June 15, India should conduct a thorough investigation into the case of 20 Indian soldiers killed during the conflict in Galvan.

The magazine said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had also made a request to his Indian counterpart, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, when the two leaders spoke on the phone on June 17.

During the talks, China was blamed for "catching violators" and "keeping (Indian) troops on the border under strict discipline, as well as for the conflict." According to the magazine, on behalf of China, it was said that we have advised the Indian side to investigate the whole matter, hold the violators accountable and adhere to strict discipline of the soldiers on duty at the border. With this all provocations are said to stop. Thus, China has blamed India for punishing the thief. He blamed India for Galwan's violence and advised the government to take action against the soldiers responsible. 20 Indians were killed in this violent speed.

The Chinese embassy also said in a July issue that "the situation in every relationship goes up and down, the recent border dispute should not spoil relations between India and China." The leaders of the two countries should move forward on the vision they have set. Violent clashes between the two countries' armies in the Galvan Valley in June, following a dispute in May over the Koro crisis, left 20 Indian Army personnel dead. After the incident, tensions between the two countries escalated, with thousands of troops deployed along the border.
