Landslide near railway construction site in Manipur: Eight killed, 72 missing

New Delhi: Eight people were killed and six others were missing in a landslide near a railway construction site in Manipur's Noni district. The dead included seven members of the Territorial Army. Four people, including two children, were killed and five others injured in a lightning strike in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district. On the other hand, the flood situation in Assam is still the same and 12 more people were killed.

Indian Army officials said construction work on the railway was underway near Tupal railway station in Manipur's Noni district.
