Arrested for tweeting with Hanuman Hotel and Honeymoon Hotel

With this clip, Mohammad Zubair wrote in the caption, Honeymoon Hotel before 2014 and Hanuman Hotel after 2014. Zuber was charged with insulting religious sentiments. Police sought Zuber's one-week custody from the court, which was denied by the magistrate. But one day of police custody is allowed. The complaint against Mohammad Zubair was lodged by Delhi Police Sub-Inspector Arun Kumar. The police official said that while they were monitoring social media, they came across a Twitter handle called 'Hanuman Bhakt' which questioned Mohammed Zubair's tweet.

The FIR states that such a post was deliberately published by Mohammed Zubair in order to hurt the spirit of a particular community and to spoil the atmosphere of peace and harmony. Prateek Sinha, co-founder of Alt News, tweeted in support of Zubair on Monday.

The opposition has also lashed out at the government over the arrest of Mohammed Zubair. On the one hand, TMC MP Mahua Moitra termed the Delhi Police action as an attempt to please his high commandos. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi has also tweeted.
