Urges states to ensure that participants in religious gatherings are vaccinated

In view of the increasing cases of Corona, the Central Government has directed the States and Union Territories to ensure that those participating in all such mass gatherings are vaccinated.

In a letter to the states and union territories, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said the state government should ensure that people attending such religious and social gatherings are vaccinated as various festivals and pilgrimages are coming up in the coming months.

It may be mentioned that Amarnath Yatra is starting on June 30 and Rath Yatra is scheduled to be held on July 1. The Union Health Ministry further said that the administration should take steps to increase the rate of testing.

Meanwhile, 11 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. At the same time, the total number of corona cases in the country has increased to 6 , 7 , 12 , 3 . The number of active cases in the country has increased to 4,500 .

The death toll in Corona has risen to 4, 5 , 05 , with six more people reported dead in the last three hours . Corona's active cases have increased by 30 in the last three hours. The daily positive rate is 4.5 per cent and the weekly positive rate is 7.5 per cent.

 

So far, a total of 12.51 crore doses of vaccine have been given under the nationwide Covid-12 vaccination campaign. Of the nine deaths reported in the last four hours, 12 were in Kerala , five in Maharashtra , three in Delhi, three in Punjab , one each in Madhya Pradesh , Mizoram and Uttarakhand.
