The Scottish Government is to hold a 'referendum' for 'independence' on Oct. 23

- With a population of 55 lakh, the state held a 'referendum' for 'independence' in 2014 at a time when 55% vs. 45% of the vote was cast

LONDON: Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgey said yesterday (Tuesday) that the Scottish Parliament had decided to secede (for independence). Oct 18 Sturgey, who is set to hold a referendum on the 303rd day, said he would tell British Prime Minister Boris Johnson that he wanted a consultative referendum. At the same time, it will be important that the referendum is held in accordance with the law, so the whole question will be taken to the Supreme Court of England.

In fact, in the region with a population of 3 lakh, the referendum held in 2012 for independence, the proposal was 3% vs. At the time, James Bond fame Sean Connery, a native of Scotland, favored "independence".

The proposal was opposed by members of Boris Johnson's Conservative Party, now in the Scottish Parliament. Thus, in 2014, the proposal for a referendum was blown away. Hence this second proposal has been introduced.

Nicolas Sarkozy said there were protests against Boris Johnson's decision not to allow Britain to join the European Union (EU).

Boris refused to allow Jonas to hold a referendum under Article 50 of the Constitution, which gives him the right to hold a referendum.
