Russia bans 25 people, including US president's wife and daughter

Russia has banned the wife and daughter of US President Joe Biden, along with 23 other Americans. This information was given by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. Russia has added 25 US citizens to its "stop list" in response to growing US sanctions against political and public figures, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian Foreign Ministry's list also includes several US senators, including the wife and daughter of US President Joe Biden, including Susan Collins of Maine, Mitch McConnell of Katki, Charles Grassley of Iowa, and Kirsten Gilbred of New York. According to a report, it involves a number of university professors and researchers, as well as former US government officials.

America imposed sanctions, confiscated assets

The United States has previously banned the daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with a number of prominent Russian businessmen and politicians. Other countries, including Britain, have since announced similar sanctions. The United States has imposed sanctions on Putin's daughters Maria Putin and Katrina Tikhonova and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the wife and children of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, as well as members of the Russian Security Council and former President Dmitry Medvedev. The U.S. removed all close members of the Putin family from the U.S. financial system and confiscated all of their U.S.-based assets.
