US warns India over China "China's activities in Ladakh are suspicious and eye-opening," said Charles A. Flynn, a senior U.S. general. China has created something that could be a wake-up call for India. This level of Chinese activity is a warning alarm for India. "China is constantly moving inland," he said, referring to the construction work being done by China in the Himalayan region. He described China's behavior as "an attempt to destabilize and damage relations." The general, who oversees the Asia-Pacific Ocean, said: "Some of the construction work in the Western Theater Command with all the military equipment is terrible." One has to ask why China is doing this.

"I believe we must work together to address China's harmful and corrupt practices," he said. India and the US are going on a high altitude combat training mission during a 'war games' this October. The exercise will be conducted at an altitude of 9,000-10,000 feet in the Himalayan region. However, its location has not been determined yet. Indian forces will similarly practice fighting in extremely cold climates in Alaska.

The purpose of this activity is to prepare for a very high level joint operation in high altitude warfare. This includes new technology drills, Air Force resources, fighter jets, logistics and the study of exchanging information in real time. "This is an invaluable opportunity for the Indian Army and the US military that they can take advantage of," Flynn said.

China is building bridges near Pangong Lake. This is a very important construction which is of great importance to the Indian Army. The Indian Army is deployed in large numbers in the area.

China has accelerated the construction of air strips and road infrastructure in the region, which could pose a direct challenge to India in the Himalayan region.

Tensions in Ladakh have led to more than 12 military talks between India and China. China has not retreated from many of the areas it has created in Ladakh. Notably, China has illegally occupied these areas after crossing the LAC (Line of Actual Control).
