Arrest of main accused in Prayagraj violence, also look at daughter studying in JNU


- Gangster Act will be enforced against protesters and their illegal assets will be confiscated

A statement issued by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has sparked outrage in the Muslim community. Violence erupted after Friday prayers at Atala Char Rasta in Prayagraj. The case has been registered against 70 nominees and 5,000 unidentified persons under 29 serious sections. SSP Ajay Kumar said that the main accused in inciting the violence, Mohammad Javed alias Javed Pump, had been arrested.

Javed is being questioned by the police. During the investigation, material related to the India shutdown on June 10 and provocative people were also found from his phone.

The accused's daughter is also on the radar

One of the daughters of Mohammad Javed is studying at JNU, the SSP said. He works to give advice to Javed. If she is found guilty in the case, the Delhi Police will be contacted and a team will be sent there and she too will be taken into custody.

Stoned by minors

Prayagraj DM Sanjay Khatri said that anti-social elements used minors to attack police and administration teams. He also said that social media was being monitored. Police are identifying the accused through video footage and arresting them.

The bulldozer will run on illegal pressure

DM Sanjay Khatri has sent information to the Prayagraj Development Authority that the accused have been arrested. If any illegal property or possession is found during the investigation, action will be taken and a bulldozer will be turned over. In addition, all the accused will be prosecuted under the Gangster Act.

Investigating the Funding Angle case

Violence has erupted despite talks with clerics, imams, peshwa imams and all top people, the SSP said. It is also suspected that the matter is being funded from somewhere. Due to this the horoscopes of all the accused in the whole case will also be extracted.

Property will be confiscated

ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that the issue of damaging government property during the riots would be dealt with harshly against the protesters. The protesters will be subject to the Gangster Act and their illegal assets will be confiscated.
