A case will be filed against Kerala actor Mohanlal for possession of ivory

A case will be filed against Kerala actor Mohanlal in a court of law over possession of ivory. The trial court had ordered a case against the actor. The verdict came against the Kerala government's plea not to prosecute.
Illegal ivory was found in 2013 when the income tax department raided the actor. The Forest Department then filed a case alleging illegal possession of ivory. Mohanlal, a popular actor, singer and producer of Malayalam films, will now have to face a case of illegal tooth keeping.
Kerala's Perrumbavur court had rejected the Kerala government's plea. The Kerala government had filed a petition in the court saying that the case against the actor was meaningless. It is a waste of time. This is because under the Wildlife Protection Act of 19, it was investigated whether Mohanlal has a certificate of ownership of the ivory he has. It was revealed that the actor has a certificate before the Act. Time should not be wasted by filing a case. Chief Wildlife Y was certified. The actor's troubles will now escalate as the trial court has ordered the case to be continued after rejecting the plea to close the two ivory case against Mohanlal.
