Sino-Pak alliance started in Nehru's time: Natwar Singh

New Delhi, Dt
Former External Affairs Minister and former Congress leader Natwar Singh has termed Rahul Gandhi's statement that central government policies are responsible for China-Pakistan alliance as wrong. He claimed that the alliance between China and Pakistan started during the time of the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday lashed out at the BJP in the Lok Sabha, saying that the Sino-Pakistani alliance was formed because of the central government's policies. However, former External Affairs Minister K.K. Natwar Singh said on Thursday, "I wonder why no one from the government stood up and reminded Rahul Gandhi that his statement was totally wrong. China and Pakistan have been together since the 120's. This alliance has started from the time of his great-grandmother (Jawaharlalji). The Sino-Pakistani alliance has started since they took the Kashmir issue to the UN.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has issued a privilege notice against Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. He accused Rahul Gandhi of provoking the people with his speech. He has also sent a contempt of house notice against Rahul. He said that Rahul Gandhi's mentality is based on the principle of two nations. His speech in the Lok Sabha is like a conspiracy to divide the country.
