GATE 2022: IIT GATE exams to be held as per schedule, Supreme Court refuses to postpone exams


- Candidates will also be able to use their admit card as a curfew pass

The Supreme Court has rejected a demand to postpone the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination. Following the hearing, the court said that postponing the examination at the last minute could lead to chaos. The exam now has 2 days i.e. 48 hours left. The court in Teva has rejected the demand for a stay on the examination.

Following the decision of the court, the examination will now be held as per the schedule. GATE exams will be held on February 05, 06, 12 and 13. Admit cards for the exam have been issued. Candidates will also be able to use their admit card as a curfew pass. Travel passes for the exam have also been announced.

GATE is a recruitment-co-examination conducted mainly by some public sector companies for admission and recruitment in postgraduate courses for engineering and science graduates. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is the organizing body for GATE 2022. The exam will be held in 2 slots. The first slot will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second slot will be between 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
