In the run-up to the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, a BJP MLA was outraged when he went to campaign in his constituency in Muzaffarnagar. Outraged people surrounded his car and he had to return from there. The video of the incident is also going viral on social media.

BJP MLA Vikram Singh Saini from Khatauli constituency had reached there for a seat on Wednesday but was the victim of local outrage. The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows that as soon as Vikram Saini entered the village, a mob started chanting slogans against him and surrounded his vehicle. Villagers were outraged over a number of issues, including agricultural legislation, which was withdrawn by the government after a year-long agitation.

Vikram Saini then clasped his hands in front of the people and his car sped away. Thus it was his turn to flee from his own constituency.

Vikram Saini is famous for his provocative statements. In the year 2019, he attacked those who are feeling insecure in India. A year ago, he said, "Our country is called Hindustan, which means a country for Hindus." He also threatened to break the limbs of the slaughterers.

Uttar Pradesh will hold assembly elections in 7 phases from February 10 and the results will be declared on March 10.
