Congress has announced the names of 6 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The most shocking name on this list is that of Gayatri Tiwari, mother of Khushi Dubey, wife of Amar Dubey, who was killed in the Vikas Dubey scandal. Gayatri Tiwari has been given a ticket from the Kalyanpur seat of Kanpur. At the same time, Urusha Rana, daughter of Shire Munavvar Rana, has been given a ticket from the East seat of Lucknow.

Urusha Rana had recently registered her candidature as an independent from the Unnao seat. But Congress has now fielded a candidate from the seat to prove it.

Who got the ticket from the list?

The Congress has fielded Urusha from Lucknow West, Shahana Siddiqui from Lucknow West, Ajay Srivastava from Lucknow North, Pankaj Tiwari from Lucknow East, Vinay Vikram Singh from Lambhua and Gayatri Tiwari from Kalyanpur. The list includes the names of 6 women, meaning that Priyanka Gandhi has kept her promise of 40 per cent women in UP.

Polling in UP from February 10

In Uttar Pradesh, polling will be held in 7 phases from February 10. The final round of voting will take place on March 7 and the results will come on March 10. Before the elections, all the parties including BJP, SP, Congress and BSP are holding their breath. However, the Election Commission has banned rallies and road shows due to Corona.
