Delhi-Maharashtra death toll rises amid third wave of corona care in the country

The care of the third wave of Corona in the country has remained the same. Despite a partial decline in corona cases in the country, the death toll has risen in states like Delhi and Maharashtra. Four patients died of corona in Delhi on Saturday, the highest number of deaths in a single day since June 9 last year. However, in Delhi, the number of corona cases was partially reduced to 11.5. Similarly, 3,000 new cases of corona were reported in Maharashtra and 4 more died. The number of active cases in the country also increased to 21.75 lakh.
More than 2.5 lakh new cases of corona were reported in the country on Saturday. With this, the total cases of Corona have crossed 2.82 crore. The number of active cases has crossed 21.75 lakh. The total death toll in the country has crossed 4.89 lakh with another 454 deaths. A study by a private hospital found that 80 per cent of corona patients killed in the third wave in the country had not been vaccinated. This study emphasized the importance of vaccines. In Karnataka too, the care of the third wave has remained the same. In the last three hours, 2,20 new cases of corona have been reported and six more patients have died. Corona's positivity rate in the state has reached 12.5 per cent. Former Prime Minister of Karnataka H.D. Deve Gowda has come under the spell of Corona. Although he did not show any symptoms of corona, he was admitted to Manipal Hospital as part of precaution. Sources added that Deve Gowda's wife Chennamma's test was negative. The health ministry said that more than 121 crore doses have been given in the fight against corona in the country.
