Rs 100 increase in price of commercial LPG cylinder


New Delhi: With the onset of December 1, inflation has hit the common man. State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) have hiked the price of commercial LPG by Rs 100. As a result, the price of a commercial gas cylinder in Delhi has gone up to Rs 2,101. In Delhi, the price of a cylinder of commercial gas was Rs 1,734 on October 31.

The price of a commercial LPG cylinder rose to Rs 2,000.50 on November 1. This was an increase of Rs 266.50. On December 1, it has increased by another Rs 100. Now it will cost Rs 2,101 to refill a cylinder in Delhi.

Rising prices for commercial cylinders can make eating out more expensive. The OMC had earlier hiked the price of commercial gas cylinders in September and October. The price of a 19-kg commercial gas cylinder was hiked by Rs 43 on September 1 and by Rs 75 on October 1.

The relief with the price hike is that government companies have not changed the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder. In Delhi, the price of a cylinder of this gas is unchanged at Rs 899.50. 926 in Kolkata, Rs. 899.50 in Mumbai and Rs. 915.50 in Chennai.

The price of a commercial gas cylinder has gone up by Rs 101 to Rs 2,174.5 in Kolkata and Rs 2,051 in Mumbai. In Chennai too, the price of a commercial gas cylinder rose by Rs 101 to Rs 2,234 from Rs 2,133.
