Sonipat: Another farmer killed at Indus border, body found hanging with snare

Farmers' agitation against agricultural laws continues on Delhi's borders. In the midst of all this, the body of a farmer involved in the protest on Wednesday was found hanging from the Kundli Indus border in Sonipat. The deceased was identified as Gurpreet Singh. He was a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.

It was not immediately clear if he was a resident of Roorkee village and had committed suicide. Kundli Thana police have launched an investigation keeping in view both the angles. Police seized the body and sent it for postmortem. According to the police, the exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report is received.

The peasant movement against agricultural laws is about to complete one year. In Teva, farmers' organizations have decided to hold a tractor march during the winter session of Parliament starting November 29. In fact, a meeting of farmers 'organizations was held under the Farmers' Unity Front. It discussed the further strategy of the peasant movement. The meeting was attended by several veteran farmer leaders including Rakesh Tikait, Darshanpal Singh and Gurnam Singh.

The farmers decided to increase the strength of their performance. After the winter session of Parliament begins, the farmers of Tikri and Ghazipur will proceed to the Parliament House to protest and raise their issues. However, according to police, no one will be allowed to march.
