Pak Supreme Court angry over illegal sale of Hindu properties

Sold the land to the builder with forged documents

Under what law was this land sold? Answer: Summons to the Board of Trustees of the Supreme Court

Karachi: A case of illegal sale of property of Hindus in Karachi, Pakistan has reached the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Following this, the Supreme Court had issued summons to the chairman of the Trust Property Board on the issue of immediate sale of the property.

Pakistan's Supreme Court has asked the chairman of the Trust Property Board under which law the property of Hindus is being sold. An application was filed in the Supreme Court by the Pakistan Hindu Council and the matter was taken up. Meanwhile, Pak Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed raised the question and issued summons seeking an answer.

The petitioner claimed that there was a Hindu Dharamshala in Saddar Nagar, Karachi, which was a heritage site. However, the Evacuee Trust Property Board issued a fake and false objection certificate to the site and ordered the demolition of the inn. The land was later sold to a builder to build a commercial building.
