The heated politics in Maharashtra over the cruise drugs case is not going away. Nawab Malik on Wednesday leveled serious allegations against Devendra Fadnavis. Nawab Malik said that with the 'blessing' of Devendra Fadnavis, the business of recovery and counterfeit notes was going on in Maharashtra. Nawab Malik also mentioned Samir Wankhede. He said that the former CM was trying to save the officer (Wankhede) because he was a man close to him.

The Maharashtra minister said that Devendra, as the chief minister, had given place to people associated with the underworld, criminals to government commissions, boards. Connection with counterfeit notes business

Malik said that when the banknotes were banned on November 8, 2016, Prime Minister Modi said that the banknotes were being banned to end terrorism, counterfeit notes and black money. Counterfeit notes were then seized from across the country. But not a single case of counterfeit notes was reported from Maharashtra till October 8, 2017, as the game of counterfeit notes was going on under the protection of Fadnavis. During a raid on October 8, 2017, 145.6 million counterfeit notes were seized and Fadnavis cleared the case. Imran Alam Sheikh and Riaz Sheikh were arrested in the case but later the case was suppressed considering the confiscation to be Rs 8 lakh 80 thousand.
