Meeting the heroic officer of the battle of Rezang-la, Rajnath Singh said: I consider it a great privilege to meet such heroes.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who met (retired) Brigadier RB Jatar, one of the soldiers who took part in the bloody battle with Chinese troops on the 19th, said, "I consider it my great fortune to meet such heroes." "I am very fortunate to have met Brigadier (retd) RV Jatar today," he said. Brigadier Jatar was the company commander at the time.

Rajnath Singh also said that with respect to him, my mind is full. I salute their bravery. May God give them healthy longevity.

Defense Minister Rezang La was there to inaugurate the newly constructed monument. At the time, they were in a wheelchair, led by the Brigadier's wheelchair (retired) Brigadier RV Jatar to the newly constructed monument.

RV Jatar was the Company Commander of the 13th Kumaon Regiment during the Indo-China War of 18.

He was accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and other senior Army officers. He was present at the inauguration of the newly constructed war memorial of Survey 19. Today is the 9th anniversary of that war.

During the 18th Indo-China War, the 13th Kumaon Battalion under Major Shaitan Singh was surrounded by a large Chinese army. However, the Kumaon Battalion faced off. And killed about 1,200-1,500 Chinese soldiers.

With the rescue of Yushal-la, the Chinese troops were unable to eliminate the battalion. Ulta had to retreat. In this battle of Rezang-la, 119 Indian soldiers, including Major Shaitan Singh, were killed.
