Inflation sets in ahead of Diwali: Rs. An increase of 3

The price of potatoes, which used to be Rs 40-50 a kg 15-20 days ago, has gone up to Rs 60-70 as Diwali approaches. Moreover, onions have become more expensive.
Onion prices have doubled in October alone. Prices averaged 9 to 20 in October, but have risen to 8 to 20 in November and to 6 in some cities.
Tomatoes were available at Rs 71 a kg 20 days ago. The price per kg has gone up to Rs 4 in most cities on Diwali. Tomato-onion and potato are indispensable in cooking. None of these festivals run without it. In this, the budget of festivals has been disrupted as it has increased by Rs 15 to 20 at a time. Moreover, pulses are also on the rise. Mug-chana dal, chana, adad dal, tuvar dal have increased in one month.
