I am very happy that the people at the bottom are getting the award, Modi

New Delhi: Regarding President Ramnath Kovinde's awarding of Padma awards to 73 persons, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "I am very happy to receive the awards for those who have done significant work at the grassroots level."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the award to those working at the grassroots level would awaken the desire of this class to be an inspiration to others or to work for them.

From the environment to industry, from agriculture to art, from science to the social sphere, from administration to cinema, those who work have been encouraged. The highlight of this year's Padma Awards is that almost everyone who receives the award comes from a different background. I want everyone to know about this award recipient and be inspired by it. Modi insisted that his government is open-minded about the Padma Awards selection process and does not look at what kind of background the person comes from, but looks at what he has contributed.
