Hatred won, artist lost, good bye audience

New Delhi: Bengaluru police on Sunday refused to allow comedian Munawwar Farooqi to hold a stand-up program amid protests by right-wing organizations. These organizations have alleged that the comedian had hurt the feelings of Hindus in one of the programs. After that, Munavvar posted on Instagram that Nafraj won, the artist lost, good bye audience.

Farooqi was scheduled to present the Dongri to Nowhere program on Sunday evening. The Bangalore show has been canceled today, Munawwar said. We even sold 600 tickets in the midst of such vandalism. A few months ago my team approached the late Puneet Rajkumar Sir, which we were to do through this charity.

"I was jailed for putting a joke in my name," Farooqi said. Now my shows are being canceled, with nothing objectionable. This is called injustice. The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes. Our show has received censorship certification, yet twelve shows have been canceled due to threats in the last two months.

At the end of the post, Munavvar wrote that I have become an excuse for their hatred, I have become the support of Hansa Kar Kitno. Tootne pe hi inki khwahish hongi puri, sahi kahte hai, mein sitara ban gaya hu. I think this is an end. My name is Munavvar Farooqi and you were all very good audience, good bye. Wrote at the end of the caption with the post: Hate won, artist lost, mine is over, good bye, injustice.

Right-wing organizations, including the Shriram Sena and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, have filed a complaint against the comedian in Bengaluru, accusing him of insulting Hindu deities and hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. A case has also been registered against Farooqi in Madhya Pradesh.
