Political controversy has erupted after Bharatiya Janata Party leaders were taken hostage by villagers at the ancient Shiva temple in Kiloi village in Rohtak. Activists along with all top BJP leaders staged a protest today and burnt a statue of former chief minister Bhupendra Hooda.

BJP MP Arvind Sharma termed the incident as a conspiracy of Bhupendra Hooda and said, "If anyone looks up at the BJP leaders, their eyes will be taken out and if they raise their hands, their hands will be cut off." According to the Bharatiya Janata Party, bullying by farmers should not be tolerated at any cost. Hundreds of activists, including Rohtak MP Arvind Sharma and former minister Manish Grover, were present at Chhotu Ram Chowk.

After the demonstration, Rohtak MP Dr. In his address, Arvind Sharma warned with a controversial statement that former minister Manish Grover was targeted in yesterday's incident. If anyone looks up at Manish Grover, his eyes will be taken out and if he raises his hand, his hand will be cut off. He further said that the Congress is conspiring for power but forget that the Congress government will not come for the next 25 years.
