Farmers' struggle - victory of truth, hope that the government has learned a lesson: Cons

New Delhi, Dt
The Modi government has finally been forced to kneel down and repeal all the three agricultural laws in the face of the struggles and truth of the farmers who have been agitating on the borders of Delhi for almost a year. This decision of the government is a victory of the food givers and defeat of the ego of the government. After nearly 18 months of Gandhian movement, today the struggle and will power of more than 20 million farmers and farm laborers of the country and the sacrifices of more than 200 farming families have been won, said Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Attacking the central government, Sonia Gandhi said that the conspiracy of those in power today against the peasants has been defeated and the ego of the dictatorial rulers has also been defeated. In the last seven years, the BJP government has consistently attacked the agricultural sector in different ways.
Blaming the BJP government for the plight of farmers in the country, the Congress president said that according to the NSO of the Government of India, the average income of a farmer is Rs. 3 and the average debt on the farmer is Rs. If there are 5,000 then the government and everyone needs to think about how to make agriculture truly profitable. Farmers should also think about the true value of their crop i.e. MSP. He added that in a democracy, any decision should be taken in consultation with all, with the approval of all stakeholders and with the advice of the opposition. Hopefully the Modi government has learned a lesson for the future.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi concluded by saying that she hoped that the BJP government and the Prime Minister would give up their arrogance and ego and focus on implementing farmers' welfare policies, assuring the MSP. The Congress has announced to celebrate Saturday, November 20 as 'Farmer Victory Day' across the country. The Congress will also hold victory rallies across the country on behalf of the farmers. Congress leaders will also visit the families of more than 200 farmers killed during the agitation.
Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress surveyor Mamata Banerjee congratulated the farmers and said that the farmers did not bow down to the BJP's cruelty. This is their victory. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "This is a victory not only for the farmers but also for democracy." Today will be written in golden letters in history like 15th August and 9th January. SP president Akhilesh Yadav said he was compelled to take this decision as the BJP was facing defeat in Uttar Pradesh. Apologizing to Prime Minister Modi this time will not help. People in the state will clear the BJP.
