European court rejects Google's appeal for ૪ 2.5 billion fine

A European Union (EU) court has rejected an appeal by Google against a fine of 2.7 billion euros (૮ 4.5 billion). Google has been accused of violating advertising rules.

The company was accused of blocking protesters from its Android mobile operating system. The European Union, a member of the six-nation bloc, was fined in 2014 for violating advertising rules.

The European Union (EU) has rejected Google's appeal against the fine and upheld the fine. Google has further stated that it has changed its policy following the decision of the European Union.

Google further stated in a statement that it has been working successfully on the new policy for the past three years. According to European media, Google will change its business policy. It further states that it will make it easier for publishers to access its own data and tools.

An investigation by the European Union found that Google had improperly instructed visitors to compare Google Shopping with other competitors.
