Due to Guruparva, it is difficult to allocate space for Friday prayers: Gurudwara

Gurugram, Ta. 13
The controversy over Friday public prayers in Gurugram has not been resolved yet. The Gurudwara Singh Sabha Committee of Gurugram has said that the Gurudwara will be crowded due to Guru Parva. In such a situation it is difficult for them to provide space for prayers. Earlier, the gurdwara committee had instructed Muslims to offer namaz at the gurdwara as tensions were rising due to public namaz.
The Gurudwara Committee also agreed to allow Muslims to offer prayers at the Gurudwara after a Hindu youth due to growing protests over the prayers at the Gurugram. The local organization of the Gurudwara announced that their gates are open for Friday prayers. However, now the committee said that due to Guru Parva, more people will gather at the Gurdwara, so it is difficult for them to provide space for Friday prayers.
Public prayers in the city have been halved on Friday following protests by some Hindu organizations and locals. Last Friday, the number of people praying in the open in the city dropped from 9 to 20. This number was further reduced after the demonstrations in Sirhaul.
The Gurudwara Singh Sabha Committee of Gurugram said it would approach the Tantra to allow worshipers to offer prayers in small groups without compromising with the Korona protocol. Five Gurudwaras are affiliated with this committee.
Earlier, a local Hindu youth had handed over an empty shop in Old Gurgaon to Muslims for prayers. Akshay Rao owns several shops in the Mechanic Market in Old Gurgaon. Rao said most of the tenants of his shops are Muslims. He had to face many problems for Friday prayers. So he gave them an empty shop to pray. In this small space 15 to 20 people can pray.
