Crops after 9/11 Mumbai attacks. Tough action needed to be taken against: Tiwari

New Delhi, Dt
After Salman Khurshid compared the Hindutva-Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) terrorist organizations with ISIS and Boko Haram in his book and exacerbated the problem of the Congress, now another senior Congress leader Manish Tiwari's book has added to the problem of the Congress. In a book, Congress leader Manish Tewari has criticized the Manmohan Singh government for not taking any action against Pakistan after the 9/11 Mumbai attacks. He wrote that after the attack, India needed to take strong action against Pakistan. Not taking this action is a sign of weakness of the UPA government.
Three days later, the 9/11 Mumbai attacks will complete 17 years. Manish Tiwari's book, which is being published at the moment, has caused a stir at the political level. Manish Tewari, a Congress MP from Anandpur Sahib in Punjab, wrote in his book that restraint is not a sign of strength but a sign of weakness if a country (Pakistan) has no remorse for killing innocent people. The 9/11 Mumbai attacks were an opportunity to retaliate more than words. He compared the Mumbai attacks to the US 9/11 attacks and said that India needed to retaliate sharply at that time.
Manish Tewari had earlier put his party in a difficult position. He had earlier said about the political instability in Punjab that he has been given the responsibility of Punjab. They do not understand this matter. He also questioned Kanhaiya Kumar's entry into the Congress. Following the details of this book, rumors are circulating that the Congress is preparing to take action against Manish Tiwari. AK Antony, chairperson of the Congress disciplinary committee, met Sonia Gandhi after the book's details came to light. Even so, Manish Tiwari is one of the disgruntled leaders of the Congress, which has become known as the G-7 under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The BJP has also started besieging the Congress by promoting Manish Tiwari's book. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala asked, "Who stopped the Congress from carrying out operations like India's surgical strike and air strike after the Mumbai attacks after the Uri and Pulwama attacks?" He wrote that Air Chief Marshal Fali Major had also said that the Air Force wanted to take action after the attack, but the UPA government had stopped him from taking action. Poonawala alleged that the Congress was busy at that time blaming Hindus for the 9/11 attacks and defending Pakistan.
On the night of November 9, 2008, 10 Pakistani terrorists entered Mumbai by sea and targeted places like railway station, hotel, bar, Taj Hotel, Oberoi Hotel. Twelve people were killed in the attack and four terrorists were killed in the encounter. The lone terrorist, Ajmal Kasab, was captured alive.
