Former JD (U) leader Pawan Verma, Bollywood script writer Javed Akhtar, former BJP leader Sudhindra Kuljarni will meet Mamata in Delhi today.

New Delhi: Congress leader and former cricketer Kirti Azad and Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar are likely to join the Trinamool Congress today (Tuesday). Azad and Tanwar are scheduled to meet West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress surveyor Mamata Banerjee in Delhi this afternoon.

Before the elections in Haryana, Tanwar had resigned from the Congress on Oct. 19. Tanwar also alleged that the game being played to target the leaders brought forward by Rahul Gandhi was a hoax. So I consider it my duty to confront that attack and expose the deception in it.

At this stage, it is also worth mentioning that Tanwar had formed an alliance with the JJP led by Dushyant Chautala in 2012 during the 2012 state assembly elections.

Kirti Azad, the son of former Bihar Chief Minister Bhagwat Jha Azad, a member of the Indian cricket team that won the World Cup in 19th, has been suspended from the BJP. This was because the then BJP had publicly criticized the alleged malpractices of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and the corruption in Delhi and the Delhi Cricket Association in 2014. After this, Kirti Azad joined the Congress in 2012.

Kirti Azad was twice elected to the Lok Sabha on a BJP ticket from Darbhanga in Bihar. In 2012, he contested the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat on a Congress ticket, but lost to BJP's Pashupatinath Singh.

According to information received, former advisor to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former Rajya Sabha member Pawan K. Verma and famous Urdu shire N. Bollywood script-writer Javed Akhtar and former BJP leader Sudhindra Kuljarni are also scheduled to meet Mamata Banerjee in Delhi today.
