Launch of the country's first private train, passengers will get a refund if it is late

The government is moving ahead with the scheme of privatization of the railways.

The train, which runs from Delhi to Lucknow, was departed by CM Yogi Adityanath after showing a green flag.

If the train is delayed, it will be refunded by the IRTC. If the train is delayed by an hour then each passenger will be refunded 100 rupees and two hours late will be refunded 250 rupees. Each passenger will get Accident Insurance worth Rs. 25 lakhs, and luggage insurance of Rs. 1 lakh.

Passengers will be able to book a ticket five minutes before the private train. The train has features like CCTV camera, smoke and fire detection system, automatic doors, GPS based display system, tea coffee vending machine, free WiFi.
