CBI's first chargesheet in Navy leak case

The CBI today filed the first chargesheet in a case of leaking classified information related to the submarine project in exchange for a bribe. The chargesheet, filed before a special CBI judge today, charges six people, including two serving commanders of the Navy.

The six people charged include two serving commanders. One of them is named Ajit Kumar Pandey. Others named in the chargesheet include Randeep Singh, a retired Commodore rank officer. The chargesheet also includes the name of SJ Singh, another retired officer of commander rank. SJ Singh works for a Korean submarine company.

The CBI has alleged that serving Navy officers sold some intelligence to retired officers in exchange for bribes.

The CBI conducted the raids in September after receiving information that the information had been leaked. Two retired Navy officers were arrested during the raid. According to sources, the CBI is conducting further investigations in this regard. The CBI is also investigating some foreign nationals in the case.
