BJP's saffron wave in Tripura local elections


BJP won 217 out of 222 seats

BJP Agartala Muni. Having got all the seats of the corporation, the account of TMC-CPIM was not opened

Agartala: The ruling BJP has won a landslide victory in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections. The BJP had won 51 seats in Tripura's Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) while winning 217 out of 222 seats.

Opposition TMC and CPI (M) also failed to open their accounts in the AMC elections. Lost Muni. The BJP won all the 15 council seats. While BJP has won 17 seats of Balonia Muni and 15 seats of Kumargarh Muni.

In Kailashahar muni., CPIM won one seat while BJP won 16 seats. In Panisagar Nagar Panchayat, BJP won 12 seats. The CPIM also won one seat here. The BJP fielded candidates in all the 334 seats out of which it won 112 seats without any opposition. Elections were held on November 25 in 222 seats. Here was the BJP's clash against the TMC.
