Yogi government's financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the families of those who died from corona

In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government along with the central government will now provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the families of those who died due to the Koro epidemic. In Uttar Pradesh, 4.5 people have died so far due to corona. The Yogi government has also given detailed guidelines for financial assistance to the families of those who died from corona. This amount of financial assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account. Besides, the Yogi government is likely to give bonuses before Diwali and increase DA to appease 12 lakh government employees in the election year.
The Yogi government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the families of those who died of corona in the state. Under this decision, this financial help will be given to the relatives of the deceased registered on the Kovid portal in the state. To get this assistance, these families have to apply to the DM office in their district in a fixed format. Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue Manoj Kumar Singh has given detailed guidelines in this regard.
However, the state government has made it clear in the order that the employees assigned to the panchayat election duty and the frontline workers working to prevent the Koro epidemic will not get this help. The state government has provided Rs. 20 lakh and relatives of frontline workers Rs. Compensation of Rs 50 lakh has already been given. This financial help will not be given to the families belonging to both these categories.
This financial assistance will be provided from the State Disaster Response Fund. The cause of death should be written 'Corona' in the death certificate as per the order of the state government. Apart from this, in case of death of a person due to corona, as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India on September 3, 2021, the Additional District Collector, Chief Medical Officer, Additional Chief Medical Officer, Principal or Head of Medicine Department of Medical College and A committee will be formed to certify the death of a subject matter expert from Corona. The committee will verify the cause of death if the death certificate attached to the application for financial assistance does not mention death by corona.
Meanwhile, with the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh next year, the Yogi government may soon decide to give more DAs along with bonuses to appease the state's 12 lakh employees. After the central government decided to increase the dearness allowance (DA) of central employees by three per cent from July 1, the state government is also hoping to increase the dearness allowance. According to sources, state government employees are likely to get huge salaries in the form of October salaries, increased DAs and bonuses just before Diwali, which is likely to boost the market.
