Uttarakhand: The doors of Hemkund Sahib will be closed this afternoon, Shabad Kirtan will start from 9 am

The doors of Hemkund Sahib will be closed for winter on Sunday at 1.30 pm. Shabad Kirtan will start from 9 am on Sunday at the Gurudwara at Hemkund Sahib and will continue till 12 noon.

The decree of Gurugranth Sahib will be taken

This will be followed by the final prayer of the year at 12:30 p.m. At one o'clock in the afternoon, the order of the Holy Guru Granth Sahib will be taken and the Holy Guru Granth Sahib will be brought from Darbar Sahib to Sachkhand Sahib (Garbhagraha) under the chairmanship of Panch Pyare with the tune of a special band from Punjab.

With this, the doors of Hemkund Sahib will be closed for winter at half past one in the afternoon. More than 2200 devotees have reached Govind Ghat and Ghangharia by closing the doors of Hemkund Sahib. Who will reach Hemkund Sahib on Sunday morning and participate in the final prayers of this year.

More than 10 thousand devotees will reach Darshan

The journey to Hemkund Sahib started from September 18 this year due to Kovid. However, more than 10 thousand devotees reached here.

Sardar Seva Singh, chief manager, Hemkund Sahib Management Trust, said the trust had decided to close the cupboards on October 10 in view of the extremely cold and inclement weather. Janak Singh, manager of the trust, Sardar Ravinder Singh, general secretary, Army engineering company officials and jawans will also be present during the closing ceremony.
