Singhu Border Murder: Accused was honored before arrest


For insulting the scriptures of the Sikhs

The main accused Nihang gave the names of four others to the police, two were arrested

Amritsar: A young man was killed by Nihang for insulting a Sikh scripture near Delhi's Singhu border. Another Nihang has been arrested for cutting off his hand and hanging his body upside down. Earlier, a Nihang had confessed to the crime and surrendered.

The incident has drawn heavy criticism from farmers' organizations as well as other citizens and calls for the arrest of the accused. A man named Sarabjit Singh has been arrested in the case. Hours later, another man, Narain Singh, was also arrested by police.

"I have told the police that I am surrendering in this incident," Narain Singh claimed. Before being arrested by the police, accused Narain Singh had said that a young man named Lakhbir Singh had been sentenced for insulting Sikhism.

Surprisingly, before the accused surrendered, he was honored at a Gurudwara in Punjab by wearing a necklace of money notes. This extremely brutal murder is being criticized all over the country and the accused are being demanded to be given harsh punishment. On the other hand, the victim's family has demanded a high-level inquiry into the whole massacre.
