PM inaugurates 9 medical colleges at UP, says Yogi - no shortage of health facilities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Siddharthnagar and Varanasi today. The Prime Minister inaugurated 9 medical colleges of the region under Madhav Prasad Tripathi Medical College at Siddharthnagar. He then inspected the art gallery. During his address, the Prime Minister bowed to the people in Bhojpuri. After the address, the Prime Minister left for Varanasi.

During his visit to Varanasi, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate 28 development projects worth Rs 5,190 crore to the public. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will also launch the Rs 65,000 crore Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana to strengthen the country's health facilities.

A new gift has been given to Purvanchal, the Prime Minister said. The Health India Mission is moving forward. This is a double dose of health for Purvanchal. Today has brought a double dose of health for Purvanchal, for the whole of Uttar Pradesh.

In his address, Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, said that before 1947, there were 3-4 medical colleges in UP. Between 1947 and 2016, there were only 12 medical colleges in the government sector in UP. Yogi Adityanath said that future generations will remember that from now on, no one in all these districts will die due to any serious illness. Nine medical colleges have been inaugurated at Siddharthnagar, Eta, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Deoria, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Fatehpur and Jaunpur at a cost of Rs 2,329 crore. Before the event, a short film was shown to the people and Yogi Adityanath presented a statue of Buddha to Prime Minister Modi.
