For the sixth day in a row, petrol and diesel prices have gone up by Rs. 100

State-owned oil marketing companies in the country have once again hiked petrol and diesel prices in the wake of rising crude oil prices in the international market. According to the price notification issued by state-owned oil companies, the price of a liter of petrol has been hiked by 20 paise and diesel by 3 paise. For the first time in Ahmedabad, the price of diesel has gone up to Rs 100.

Petrol and diesel prices have reached new highs in the country for the sixth day in a row. After today's price hike, the price of a liter of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs. The price of diesel has gone up by Rs 102.15 and a liter to Rs 4.5. In Mumbai, the price of a liter of petrol has gone up to Rs 110.15 and the price of diesel has gone up to Rs 100.5.

After Mumbai and Hyderabad, the price of diesel in Gandhinagar and Leh has also gone up to over Rs 100. In Gandhinagar, the price of a liter of diesel has gone up to Rs 100.71 and in Leh, the price of a liter of diesel has gone up to Rs 100.05.

Bhopal, Raipur and Jaipur are also other capitals where the price of diesel has crossed Rs 100. Petrol and diesel prices vary from state to state as VAT rates vary from state to state.

Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked for the sixth day in a row. In the last five days, petrol has been increased by 20 paise and diesel by 4 paise. Earlier, petrol was hiked by 3 paise and diesel by 20 paise. In the last six days, petrol prices have been hiked by Rs 1.2 and diesel by Rs 3.05.

The country's state-owned oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have started raising diesel prices from September 4 and petrol from September 4. Since then, petrol prices have been hiked by Rs 7.5 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.50 per liter.

Earlier, petrol prices were hiked by Rs 11.5 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.15 per liter from May 4 to July 15.
