For the seventh day in a row, petrol and diesel prices have gone up by Rs. Cross 100

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked once again today in view of the rise in crude oil prices in the international market. Today, the price of a liter of petrol has been increased by 20 paise and the price of a liter of diesel by 3 paise. At the same time, the price of diesel in Kerala and Karnataka has crossed Rs 100.

Petrol and diesel prices have reached new highs in the country for the seventh day in a row. After today's hike, the price of a liter of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs 102.5 and a liter of diesel to Rs 8.15. In Mumbai, on the other hand, the price of a liter of petrol has gone up to Rs 110.41 and a liter of diesel to Rs 101.05.

In most parts of the country, the price of petrol has gone up to over Rs 100. Now the price of diesel has crossed Rs 100 in some states. Today, the price of diesel in Kerala and Karnataka also crossed Rs 100.

In Thiruvananthapuram, the price of diesel has gone up to Rs 100.15. In small towns like Shimoga and Davanagere in Karnataka, the price of diesel has crossed Rs 100. However, in Bengaluru, the price of a liter of diesel has gone up to Rs 4.5.

It may be mentioned that before Kerala and Karnataka, the price of diesel has crossed Rs 100 in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Leh.

Petrol and diesel prices vary from state to state as VAT rates vary from state to state.

Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked for the seventh day in a row. In the last six days, petrol has been hiked by 20 paise and diesel by 4 paise. Earlier, petrol was hiked by 3 paise and diesel by 20 paise. In the last seven days, petrol prices have been hiked by Rs 4.05 and diesel by Rs 2.50.

The country's state-owned oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have started raising diesel prices from September 4 and petrol from September 4. Since then, petrol prices have been hiked by Rs 7.5 per liter and diesel by Rs 4.5 per liter.

Earlier, petrol prices were hiked by Rs 11.5 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.15 per liter from May 4 to July 15.
