Family members of deceased farmers refuse to bury: No faith in postmortem report

Lucknow: The funeral of the farmers killed in the Lakhimpur Khiri Tikunia scandal has not yet taken place. The families of the four slain farmers have questioned the postmortem report and refused to perform the funeral. Family members say they suspect the farmers were killed in the shooting.

According to the latest news, except for Gurwinder, the funeral of the remaining three may be held on time. Gurwinder's postmortem is being sought from a team of five doctors. The postmortem of the four farmers after their deaths revealed that they were not shot, but were killed by drag.

These were previously claimed and some videos have also surfaced that a vehicle passed by hitting farmers. All four farming families from Bahraich and Lakhimpur have kept their bodies at home so far. The family of 9-year-old Daljit Singh, a resident of Nanpara in Bahraich, suspects that the deceased was shot dead.

The farmer's family in Nabinagar Moharania village in Bahraich is also upset. He has also stopped the funeral from questioning the postmortem. According to Sardar Gurnam Singh, who was preparing for the funeral, the report did not mention any shooting. Therefore, the funeral of the deceased Gurwinder and Daljit will not take place. Farmer protagonist Rakesh Tikait has made a statement in this regard, he said that the families of the deceased farmers have received the postmortem report.
