Pakistan Army increases troop numbers in Chinese military as part of intelligence-sharing deal

BEIJING: China continues to adopt new tactics to fight India. Now there are intelligence reports that a Pakistani colonel has been appointed as a liaison officer in the Western and Southern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China.

Tensions between India and China, which began last year, have remained high. In this, China is constantly looming on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), so that the atmosphere in eastern Ladakh remains tense. According to intelligence reports, a Pakistani army officer has been posted at PLA headquarters as part of an intelligence-sharing agreement between China and Pakistan to confront India.

The Western Theater Command is an important part of the PLA, which handles China's borders with India. China last month appointed General Wang Hejiang as the new commander of the Western Theater Command.

With this, China replaced the commander of the Western Theater Command for the fourth time amid a tense situation in eastern Ladakh with India. An official of the rank of Colonel of the Pakistan Army has been appointed to the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission of China as per the indications of the intelligence department, government sources said. This department is responsible for the combat planning, training and strategy of the Chinese military.
