In Goa, BJP is projected to get 24 to 28 seats, Congress 1 to 5 seats and AAP 3 to 7 seats. Similarly, in Manipur, the BJP is projected to win 21 to 25 seats and the Congress 18 to 22 seats.

BSP chief and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati has demanded before the Election Commission that a poll issued by any media or agency six months before the polls be banned. Doing so will not affect the election of that state and any such poll on the voters.

Mayawati made the demand at a function marking the death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram. Mayawati also said that Bharat Ratna should be given to Dalit leader Kanshi Ram. He also claimed that the people had made up their minds for a change of government in the Uttar Pradesh elections.

He said no poll should be allowed for six months before any state or Lok Sabha elections are to be held. Mamata was left behind in most of the polls when elections were being held in Bengal, though the result was different from this poll.
