(PTI) New delhi date. 20

On the second day after former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh announced the formation of the new party, BJP general secretary and Punjab in-charge Dushyant Gautam said that Amarinder Singh was a patriot and the BJP was ready to form an alliance with those who put the nation at the forefront.

Yesterday, Singh announced the formation of a new party. He further said that if the issue of farmers is resolved in the interest of farmers, it could be considered for an understanding of meetings with the BJP.

On the condition of resolving the farmers 'issue, the BJP leader said that Singh had not spoken of ending the farmers' movement. Dushyant Gautam further said that he has spoken on the issues of farmers. We are committed to this and working for the welfare of farmers. When the time comes, the two will sit together and discuss farmers' issues.

He alleged that as far as the movement was concerned, the movement was politically motivated. "Our main issue is nationalism and keeping the nation supreme," Gautam said. We are ready if any party wants to form an alliance with us on this agenda.

He further said that Amarinder Singh was a soldier. They know very well how to keep the country safe. He is a patriot and we admire his attitude whenever it comes to national security at the borders.

However, the BJP leader also said that his party had repeatedly criticized Singh on social issues in Punjab. He further said that nothing has been decided at present as Amarinder Singh has not formed a new party and has not presented his views.
