A total of Rs. 5 crore heroin seized

Heroin worth Rs 8 crore has been seized from a drug peddler who was injured in clashes with police in Nagaon and Karbi Anglog districts in Assam. Officials said a tip-off was received that three to four people were peddling drugs on Dimapur Sunday Bazaar Road in Karbi Anglog.

According to a police official, the drug peddlers fired shots at the police, who also fired shots in self-defense. Police found one person injured after the collision. A 7.5 mm pistol and a bag were recovered from the man.

9 grams of heroin with a market value of Rs 3 crore was found in his bag. Darr pill was also found from him.

On the other hand, a person from Nagaon district has been arrested. 205 grams of heroin has been seized from him. The value of which is estimated at Rs 3 crore.

The accused has been identified as RK Hoppinson and is a wanted dogs peddler from Manapati district of Manipur.
