Karnal: In Haryana's Karnal, a barbaric baton charge was leveled at farmers, in which several farmers' heads were blown off. Outraged farmers staged a huge rally on Tuesday in which thousands of farmers joined, after which the district secretariat was cordoned off. During this time there was also a heavy confrontation with the police. Water cannon was fired at the farmers.

Amid heavy clashes, the farmers later staged a sit-in at the gate of the Karnal district secretariat. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, who also joined the protest, said that if the government did not believe, the picket would start. On August 28, the farmers staged a sit-in, during which the SDMA of Karnal told the police to cut off the heads of the farmers, a video of which also surfaced.

Despite the demand for action against the SDM, no action was taken by the government and the farmers went on strike again. Currently a large number of farmers have sat on pickets outside the Secretariat and anchors have also been started for their meals.

As a result, the friction between both the farmers and the government in Haryana could escalate. Thousands of farmers have gathered near Namaste Chowk here and are increasing pressure on the government. Farmers are protesting against agricultural laws as well as demanding legal recognition of support prices.

However, as the Haryana government or Sruthanik BJP leaders are not agreeing with their demands, farmers go to Haryana wherever BJP programs are held to protest. The same thing happened on August 28 in Karnal during the program of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. In which many farmers were beheaded. So the resentment of farmers is now growing.

"If the government does not accept our demands, Haryana's jails will be filled with farmers. We are not afraid of arrest. If the government does not arrest us, accept our demands," said Rakesh Tikait, a farmer leader who led the protest. Some of the farmers who were going to join the protest were arrested by the police. However, a large number of farmers came and the police later fired a water cannon.

Currently, both the gates of the Haryana Small Secretariat have to be closed and such a large number of farmers have arrived. A battalion of CRPF has been deployed inside the gate. While outside, a convoy of ITBP, CRPF, Haryana Police has been rocked. The farmers also staged a two km long huge rally.

The main demand of the farmers is that action be taken against SDM Ayush Sinha who ordered the beheading of the farmers and also an inquiry be held against him for the lathi charge. However, the administration has not accepted their demands and now the farmers, who are in a fighting mood with the government, have surrounded the secretariat. So, at present, a tense situation has arisen in Haryana.
