RT-PCR test is mandatory for tourists coming from seven more countries

Fearing the spread of a new variant of the Koro epidemic worldwide, India has made it mandatory for tourists from seven more countries, including South Africa, Bangladesh and China, to undergo RT-PCR tests upon arrival in the country. India has issued the order following reports of a new mutation in the corona. The seven countries include Botswana, Mauritius, New Zealand and Zimbabwe. Earlier, the government had in February made it mandatory for tourists from Britain, Europe and the Middle East to undergo RT-PCR testing. The Union government has issued instructions to all the states and union territories in this regard, said Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan.
