Some are still having trouble on the IT portal

Leading IT company Infosys has admitted that some users are still facing difficulties in using the Incometax portal. However the company has said that these problems will also be rectified soon in collaboration with the income tax department. Infosys has faced a lot of criticism following the launch of the portal in June.

The IT company said that the number of users of the portal has increased significantly in the last few weeks. More than three crore people have logged on to the portal.

Infosys said in a statement that millions of taxpayers have successfully transacted on the portal and efforts are being made to make it better. We acknowledge that some taxpayers are still facing difficulties.

The company further said that it is in direct touch with 1,200 taxpayers to find solutions to their problems. Efforts are also being made to address the challenges quickly in collaboration with the Chartered Accounts community.

"We are proud to work closely with the Government of India and we will continue to work with various departments to advance the technology," Infosys said.
