Adults who voluntarily marry cannot be stopped by their parents: Couples ordered by police security

Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court in a landmark judgment said that two adults have the right to choose a spouse of their choice. It doesn't matter what the religion is. A bench of High Court Judge Manoj Kumar Gupta and Justice Deepak Verma passed the order on an application filed by Muslim woman Shifa Hasan and her Hindu ally.

The applicants argue that they love each other and are living together as they wish. The court ordered Shifa Hassan and his accomplice to be protected, saying their parents could not interfere or interfere in their relationship.

The High Court bench said that two persons have the right to choose the spouse of their choice if they are adults. Then whatever their religion is, it has no effect.

The court said the petition was filed by people who are claiming to love each other and are also adults. So in our view no one can object to their relationship.

The High Court directed the police to provide adequate security to the couple and ensure that their parents do not interfere. According to the report, the young man's father was refusing to marry the Muslim girl.
