Process Indian Digital Payment Provider Builddesk for Rs. 4.5 crore

Announcing one of the largest deals so far in the Indian consumer internet space, global consumer internet group Process NVA said on Tuesday that PEU would buy Indian digital payment provider Bilddesk for ૭ 4.5 billion (approximately Rs 4.5.5 crore).

Payu has a presence in more than 30 high-growth markets with a total payment capacity of more than ૪૭ 15 billion. However, the Pew-Builddesk agreement will have to be approved by the Competition Commission of India (CCI). The approval is likely to be obtained in early 205, Process Group CEO Bob Van Dijk told reporters at a press conference.

He further said that after the agreement, the new company will become the leading digital payment company in India and the world. Even in India, more and more people are now turning to digital payments instead of cash.

He further said that Process has been a long-term investor in India and has invested ભારતમાં 3 billion in India since 2006. After the agreement with Bilddesk, its investment will increase to over ૧૦ 10 billion.

Prosus has so far invested in companies in India including Bayjus, Misho, Swiggy, Urban Company. It is worth mentioning that Bilddesk was established in the year 2000. The company has the backing of investors such as General Atlantic, Visa, TA Associates, Clearstone Ventures and Temasek.
