On the first day of the month, the price of LPG cylinders went up by Rs 25

Petroleum companies have hiked cooking gas prices on the first day of the month. The price of unsubsidised domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 25. While the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 75.

With this price hike, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for domestic use in Delhi has gone up to Rs 884.5. The price of a 19-kg commercial gas cylinder has gone up by Rs 75 to Rs 1,693 in Delhi. Petroleum companies review cooking gas prices on the first and 15th of every month. Earlier on July 1, oil companies had hiked the price of a cylinder of cooking gas by Rs 25.

So much so

In just 15 days, the price of unsubsidised LPG cylinders has gone up by Rs 50. The price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has gone up to Rs 884.5 after a Rs 25 hike in the price of a 14.2 kg non-subsidized gas cylinder. Earlier it was priced at Rs 859.50.

Pressure on the government

The central government is facing heavy criticism due to the continuous rise in petrol, diesel and cooking gas prices. However, according to the government, all this depends on international prices and nothing more in their hands. The government has consistently tried to eliminate subsidies in gas prices.
