Union Roads, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said Hindustani instruments like tabla, flute, harmonium and bugle would soon be heard in vehicles instead of horns and sirens in the country. His ministry is working in this direction.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday arrived in Dausa, Rajasthan to inspect the newly constructed Greenfield Expressway between Delhi and Mumbai. Meanwhile, in a program, he informed about the project which will be constructed at a cost of over Rs 50,000 crore. Gadkari said the expressway would also pass through the Tiger Reserve at Ranthambore and Mukundra Hills. The government is constructing elevated roads at these places by spending more rupees so that the wildlife is not harmed by this scheme. After the completion of this expressway, the distance between Mumbai and Delhi will be reduced from 8 hours to 12 hours.

He, meanwhile, said that as the transport minister, his ministry was trying to ensure that the sound of horns and sirens in vehicles would include Indian instruments like tabla, harmonium, flute and bugle. This will have two benefits, one is that it will reduce noise pollution. The second will also work for the conservation of wildlife.

Gadkari said the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway would be the largest expressway in the world. Its length is about 1.50 km. Is. The government has set a target of completing the project by January 207. The expressway will pass through five states of the country - Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
